Kemry: We have been outside as much as possible, and it feels soooooo good! The past few days have been raining buckets, and our backyard is basically a swamp, so we are anxious for the storms to leave this weekend!
Tate: This boy. Seriously. He knows what he wants, and he knows exactly how to get what he wants. Stinker to the max.

Kemry: This squirt loves all things "holiday." She has been sitting by the window all day saying, "Bunny Easter! Where are you? Please come to my house!" She has also been requesting to go to bed all evening so far, just because when she wakes up, she knows that there will be candy evvvvvverywhere. Smart girl, that one.
Tate: So serious, yet so happy at the same time. Also, we are finally having successes with him sleeping through the night! Holla!

Side note: Mamas- I need some help. Tyrel and I will be leaving the kids for 10 days next month, and as much as I don't want to stop nursing just yet, I don't really want to have to pump every few hours on our Caribbean vacation. How in the world do we start this weaning business? I didn't nurse the Kemster longer than a month due to lots and lots of mastitis, so I am beyond lost. Little man still doesn't like bottles, either, but has been taking a few ounces here or there. Any help is appreciated!!!

a last-minute snowday

4.16.2014

While Tyrel's parents were here about two weeks ago, the Midwest showed her best and decided that she would gladly accept 8 inches of snow in our little town.
This has been the longest winter ever.
To top it off, we keep seeing little flurries outside as we walk by our windows today.
I am about ready to throw in the towel.
The only thing that made that last storm bearable is that it was warm enough for Kemry to actually play in it, as opposed to the negative bajillion degree temperatures we suffered through the past four months.
I need more sunshine, stat.
I woke up with a headache today {despite Tate sleeping in the nursery ALL NIGHT with ZERO crying!}, and Kemry has had two timeouts already {to put this in perspective- she usually gets only one a month, blessed child, so we maxed out our quota by noon today...}.
Every loud toy was found, and every annoying screeching sound was made.
If spring doesn't make itself a permanent resident in Minnesota soon, my brain is going to fry.
My freckles are dying, Mother Nature!!!
Please! Sooooon!

Tate: 8 months old! That means he turns ONE in just FOUR SHORT MONTHS!!! In so many ways, this first year has gone so much slower than Kemry's, but there are even more, overwhelming ways that it has gone so much faster!
Kemry: This photo is solely for posterity's sake ;) We have enjoyed the first few days outside this spring just the two of us, and I have loved every minute. Today she helped me pull all the old leaves and branches out of our flowerbed so our new little emerging plants aren't choked to death. And, let me tell you, there is so much life in those flowerbeds! TULIPS! I have never been so excited to see you!

Kemry: She is all about puzzles and games this week. The game obsession comes from the Murri side while the love of puzzles comes from the Borders! I guess it makes a nice balance :)
Tate: While this might not be the place to share such yucky details, Tate had his first run-in with constipation this week. The only reason I write this is to let you all know that his problem has since been solved {i.e. the prunes and meds worked}, as we discovered today all over Tyrel's shirt and office chair.

Grandma and Grandpa Murri are still in town, and we are loving it, especially Kemry.
But, alas, in true toddler style, the little princess woke up this morning with a stomach bug.
We think it has passed {hallelujah!}, and it wasn't all that horrible.
With that, Tate's clogged-up-iness, and the random 6 inches of snow that got dumped on us the other day, it sure has been an interesting week with the Minneosta Murris.

Also, we are all gathered around the television this weekend as we soak up the General Conference for our Church. If you are interested in what we believe or just need some uplifting in your life, we invite you to check it out here.
Have a great weekend!
