40/52

11.02.2014

Here are some really crummy photos for Week 40.
Life has been busy, get it?

Tate: He can now impressively say "basketball", which makes his dad so very proud. He also screams- no, shrieks- at the top of his lungs when he wants something. We are all walking around with permanent headaches :)
Kemry: Little lady has been all about writing lately. She loves to copy the words I write but gets even more excited when we can write daddy a little love note :)

Happy Halloween! {A Look At Our Last Five Costumes and This Year's Reveal}

10.31.2014

We sure love Halloween around here.
Actually, this time of the year is amazing.
We have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and TWO birthdays until February.
It is one huge party.
I thought it might be fun to look back on our old costumes since becoming a "family," starting with when Tyrel and I were engaged.

2009
Cat Lady and Tom Cruise
By far, this is the most embarrasing, and I didn't even remember it existed until I was looking for other pictures this morning.
Please don't look at it too long.
It might make your eyes explode.

2010
Pig

Aviator
Here we were pregnant with Kemry, and costume ideas were few and far in between.
I got all decked out as a pig {with a tail, mind you!}, and Ty rocked the aviator look that all men have worn for at least one Halloween in their lifetimes.

2011
Bonjour!

Unfortunately, this was the time when Tyrel and I were working opposite shifts of each other to avoid daycare, so little Kemry had to dress up for her first Halloween alone.
Since we weren't going to any parties and she was too little for Trick-or-Treating, we just whipped this little ditty up.
It is still my favorite that she has ever been ;)

 2012
Mary Poppins, Bert, and Penguin {who looks like she is drunk}
Tate was still just a wish in our hearts in this picture, but we still loved dressing up as a family.
And Kemry had no idea what was going on.

2013
Capt. Hook, Tinkerbell, Wendy, and Peter Pan
Look at Tyrel.
Amazing.
That's all.

---------------------------------------

And now, for this year, we introduce.....

Abu, Aladdin, Genie, Jasmine: Costume theme demanded by Kemry
Mine was a little bit of a stretch, but I think you all get it, right?
Most of the little kids at our Halloween Party had no idea what Aladdin was.
We are heartbroken for their futures and the life successes they might have had.

Anyway, we truly wish you have a wonderful, safe, magical, sugar-sweet Halloween today!
Especially you adults.
We are all just little kids that had to grow up, right?

happy halloween!

Here are some crummy pictures from my phone to get you in the spooky spirit!

Tyrel was super proud of his pum pkin this year.
I keep telling him that he just carved a Y.
But he is dang proud of that Y.

The perfect Peter Pan.
Except chunky.
And poopy.

Then there is this girl.
When I went to get her out of bed this morning, she informed me that she needed to go find her pumpkin {the candy pail that EVERYONE has}.
She ran past both adoring parents in search of said pumpkin.
When I told her where it was, she was furious that there were no treats in it.
I assured her that all her treats {that she had collected the night before at our church party} were in the kitchen.
She grabbed her bucket, ran to the door, and yelled, "Come on Mom! We need to go Trick-Or Treat!"
I explained that we had to wait.
She got a quizzical look on her face, paused, and then, with her pointer finger in the air, she demanded, "Halloween cartoons!"
Christmas should be fun this year ;)

Happy halloween, everyone!
May it be safe but ever so wonderful!

Previous Halloweens can be found and here and here :)
The last one has my favorite picture of Kemry EVER.
I am in denial that she was ever that little.
It seems like she has been in her terrible twos her whole life ;)

happy halloween!

10.31.2012

We will be spending the day at the Children's Museum with friends and then hitting up a few houses for K's first Trick-or-Treat experience when Ty gets off work.
And I will probably force him to watch Hocus Pocus.
Because I am that kind of wife!

Happy Halloween!
Stay safe, everyone!

happy {early} halloween...and kemry's first costume

10.30.2011

Happy Halloween!
Our house has been filled with pumpkins, Scared Shrekless {for the Kemster, naturally}, and lots of candy.

Here are some precious Halloween shots the Kembot and I took for today...

And as for her costume this year...

Since she is only 9 months old and can't eat candy yet, we decided to do the dressing up early so we are home to pass out the candies to the childrens.
She giggled when I drew on the mustache but accidentally smeared it on the way to Tyrel's parents.
She thought it was great, especially since she got so much attention :)
