Kemry: Bathtime. We take lots and lots of baths to pass the time in the winter.
Tate: Always scrunching his toes. He also sits {on his own, hooray!} and plays with them.

kemry elle turns three

Three years old.
I swear every year goes faster than the last.
We tried to make this birthday extra special for Kemry since she lost her only-childhoodness when Tate came along, and she has been such a great helper and big sister.
We blew up balloons, hung up streamers, dangled shiny swirls from the ceiling, and wrapped up some sweet little gifts for her as she slumbered the night before.
I woke up early on her birthday and ran to get her favorite donuts before she stirred.
When we heard her wake up, we ran into her room and asked her what day it was.
She sat there, put her finger on her chin {this is what she does when she thinks about something}, and paused for a moment.
And then it hit her.
It was her birthday!
She jumped out of bed and was so excited to see all the decorations that she didn't even notice her presents.
We eventually pulled her in, opened gifts, played with her new toys, and ate breakfast.

Then we took her to the Mall just like last year, just so she could go on her favorite rides.
We also grabbed some lunch at the Rainforest Cafe because she always talks about the monkeys that come to life inside.

Our last stop was to the Disney Store while Daddy ran a quick errand.
We had a few gift cards from forever ago, so she got to pick out a plush Rapunzel and carry it by the hand the rest of the way through the Mall.
We sang happy birthday and ate cake before Daddy had to go to class, and then we cuddled until bedtime.
It was the sweetest day ever, and she felt so special all day.

I love you, Kemry girl!
You are so sweet, and you mean the world to us!

Tate: This little dude is sitting up, rolling over, and getting his way all the time. Also, we think he is allergic to either bananas or the entire latex family. Sweeeeeet.
Kemry: This is the coldest winter EVER, so our days are filled with space heaters and electric blankets to take the chill off. Also, she turned THREE this week. Yes, I weeped all day.

Kemry: Grandma was in town for work, so we got to play in her hotel's pool. This girl would not leave the water, especially since she can swim alone {with supervision of course ;)}

Tate: First time in the water. He loved it almost as much as his sister.

a wintry/christmasy bunch of photos

Kemry is ON ONE today.
Holy cow.
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
She doesn't have days like this very often, but when she does, the whole world about falls apart.
Luckily, the babester is snoozing, and the monster is watching cartoons, so I have a brief moment to myself.
Every January, we make a Family Yearbook for the previous year.
We order our books through My Publisher, and I seriously die every day until it comes in the mail.
We just adore these silly books.
They might be Kemry's favorite bunch of items in our whole house.
You download their free software and add your photos gradually until your book is full.
Today I hopped on to finish ours up and realized that I had some extra pictures from last month that hadnt made it to the blog.
Some snowy fun, some cabin fever, and some Christmas {before the stomach flu overtook our home}.
So, here.
Also, please note that an 11-month-old Kemry wore the same jammies for her first Christmas as the {at the time} not-even-five-month-old-Tate did for his first Christmas.

Happy 2014!
Hopefully it has been good to all of you so far!
We are trying to catch photos of the kiddos at least once a week for the entire year.
Here it goes!

Tate: Five months old today! He is just so sweet, even though a big handful as well ;)
Kemry: She is obsessed with anything princess-y. Also, she can be found running around the house singing all the songs from the Frozen soundtrack at the top of her lungs {she knows all the words already, yikes!}.
