what i am thinking about this sunday {4}

7.31.2011

"I find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me – dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder."

for lyle and melissa....

Get your butts here.
We {almost} have everything ready for you!
At least these three rooms {and Kemry's Nursery, anyway} are nice and put together.

Okaaaaay, bye!

7.30.2011

For the Huntsman Family Reunion this year, we all met at Lava Hot Springs.
We all enjoyed some swimming, some watersliding, some make-you-pee-your-pants-insanely-high-platform jumping, some chatting, lots of yummy food, and some golfing {and by we I mean the men, of course}.
Someone {no one from our party, thank heavens} even pooped in the pool, just to make this reunion extra special!
 I had never been to Lava before and was super excited to go.
We all loved it.
Especially the Kembot.
Swimming pool, duh.

kemry turned six months old

Can you believe that?
From this:
..to this:

While I would love to stop time, or even travel back a few months to relive {most of} this, I cannot get enough of this little girl right now.
At this age.
She is hilarious.
And ridiculously, insanely, terrifically cute.

no, we did not die

...but we might be trapped under tons of boxes...
We are in the process of unpacking/tying up loose ends from our move from last weekend.
Goodbye Apartment, Helloooooo House!
I hope that someday I will finish unloading all those stinking boxes.
We moved into the house Saturday night and still have stuff to get out of the apartment.
It is hard enough to move but gets slightly more complicated when you throw a needy baby and two 40-hour-work-weeks into the mix.
Plus cleaning the old place?
Gross.
So, thus, my friends, farewell for a few more days.
At least until I can dig myself out to blog again!

Oh! For my parentals! Quick stats from Kemry's six month visit {where she decided she didn't like the doctor...and the shots became 10 times more traumatic than any other visit...}:
Weight: 14.7 lbs {17th Percentile}
Height: 24.5 {5th Percentile}
Head: 16.7 {15th Percentile}
Tiny little squirt.

from the weekend: sunday

7.17.2011

Not this Sunday.
We are still on last week.
That is how far behind I am!
We are just a few days away from moving into our new house, thus life has been crazy for us.

But, anyway. Back to Sunday.
Sunday we all got together to bid Tyrel's cousin Tanner a fond farewell as he prepared to spend the next 2 years in England.
It was great to spend time with him and his family {not to mention all the yummy fooooood!}.
He is such a great kid with a wonderful family, and we are certain he will be amazing!

We also took another batch of  family pictures.
Because you can't have enough family pictures.
{except we don't have a current one of my family...so be ready in September, Famdamily.}

And look at all these handsom men!

We then went home and spent time together in the park.
Everyone played vitilla, and I watched the babies.
This is usually what happens, but I love it.
I mean, shoot, I got to hang out with the most excited cheerleaders ever.
Although he sat staring, appearing to be indifferent to the Dominican game of hit-the-disc-with-a-stick, Ethan betrayed us and got all up into the action when Kristen handed him the bat.

Tyrel said that Ethan would have had an awesome hit {or any hit, for that matter} if Brandon knew how to throw.
Or something like that.
Enter witty, brotherly banter here: ___________.

from the weekend: saturday

7.15.2011

Saturday was the day the whole weekend was about.
I'm talking about Ashlee and Carlan's wedding.
It was so lovely. She looked stunning, and he was as sharp as a tack.
Plus, I'm a sucker for a good love story!

Kemry and Danner had the same due date...Kemry came 6 days early while Danner followed the next day.

Look at how much bigger of a squishy, cute chunk he is compared to my little petite munchkin.
Crazy.

I told you! Stunning!
And here is a thanks to Mary Jo for letting me steal some of these pictures and for taking some family ones for us!

There was lots of time to kill, even though the day was so busy.

The day ended with a darling reception, all vintage themed {and with lots of candy and ice cream which set me back about 5 months worth of jogging.}.

We were headed for the photobooth...you don't need to know more than that.

And she may or may not have had some tart raspberry icecreamyness.
Even though we had grouchy babies to get to bed and had to leave early, the night ended with dancing, laughing, and a sparkler-lit departure for the bride and groom.
Now they are chilling in paradise on their honeymoon.
And I couldn't be more jealous as I sit in Idaho.
At least we get to go to the Dominican Republic for our 5-Year-Anniversary.
That means only 3 more years left of waiting.
Which is 3 years too long.

Congrats, Ashlee and Carlan!
