Happy {Four Year} Anniversary, Tyrel!!!
I am so lucky to have such a great friend, husband, and father in my life!

A brief history of our couple-ship:

-6 years of friendship
-5 years of love
-4 years of marriage
-3 apartment/home rentals, pregnancies, cars owned, times Tyrel has given me flowers {it's a big deal when he does it!!}, number of computers I have gone through
-2 sweet kiddos {we are just going to count the monster in tummy, right?}, different states we have lived in, wedding rings lost by Tyrel, college degrees{soon{ish} to be three!}, times we have raised our voices at each other {one of our two big rules of marriage}
-1 house purchased, year in Minnesota, trip to the emergency room, time Tyrel has convinced me to ride roller coasters, times throwing up in public {my bad}
-0 times Vandy has probably really been 100% right, times gone to bed angry with each other {our other rule of marriage}, times traveled overseas, times Tyrel has let me down,  years I want to live without him
-a billion laughs, tears, giggles, made-up songs, kisses, inside jokes, times asked to scoot over at night and stop hogging the bed, more years to do all these things some more

I sure hope you all have a good day, because we are certainly planning on it!
I woke up to a dozen rozes, crepes, and a toddler already rousted and playing on the floor.
There will be a little shopping, a little appetizer eating, a little World War Z-ing, a little no-Kemry-time-ing, and some cooking and mutilating of some baby back ribs later tonight.

Here's to a billion more years!
{Especially to next year in which we venture to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC for our anniversary!
Holla!!!}

a quick post on arizona

3.07.2013

Arizona killed me in many ways.
I think the biggest was that I really REALLY didn't want to come back to snowy, sun-less Minnesota.
It was so beautiful out, and we almost got tans :)
Poor Kemry took a beating while we were there, too.
First she stubbed her toe which caused her poor little toenail to fall off.
Then, right after we wrapped up the lovely wedding and reception of Jason and Devin, she barfed.
And barfed.
And barfed.
10 times through the night, if I do recall.
It was miserable.
Every kid threw up at one point on the trip, as well as two other adults.
Bile-fest.

But it was still the greatest time.
Who doesn't love weddings?
I would cry at a complete strangers wedding, for goodness sakes.
We are so so so very happy that Jason got hitched to his sweetheart Devin.
And we kind of like her a lot, so if he treats her badly, we are disowning him and adopting her ;)
He was the last Murri to get married, so it was an extra special family get-together.
Who knows when we will all be back together?
We will soon span through Minnesota, Idaho, Arizona, Nebraska, and Colorado.
We tried to take as many pictures as we could {since I've hardly touched my camera since we got pregnant}, but we also wanted to take a break and relax with great family, too.

I think this is at least the fourth Murri Family picture in the last four years...I guess we keep adding family members too quickly?

Brandon and Kristen had some family shots taken earlier in the week, so we didn't torture them with more :) I did, however, make them take our little family picture for us.
I also found this little outtake, and it made me smile.
I think it depicts us perfectly, especially Tyrel as the handsome, debonair one.

----------------------------------------------------

I told you. Adorable.

----------------------------------------------------

This depicts EXACTLY how Kemry acted the whole trip...

Do you see what kind of competition it is in this family for the cutest kid?
Cutthroat, I tell you.

8:00--- Playing in the crib has become much more important than sleeping apparently.
9:00--- Breakfast
10:00--- Toddler Tummy Time
11:00--- Coloring and snacks
12:00--- Dusting the floors at IKEA
1:00--- "Chichen" for lunch
2:00--- Hemming some curtains during precious naptime
3:00--- Usually only one pigtail survives her beauty sleep
4:00---  Half-hour of mommy time, even though I never really want to go jogging.
5:00--- Cow comes out to play.
6:00--- More coloring, except different? Her mind is blown.
7:00--- Kemry's favorite book of all time, which is coincidentally 90% filled with pictures of her.
8:00--- Cleanup. And then destroy again. Psych!
9:00--- Hubby gets home from class and gets down to business.
10:00--- A toddler that is up waaaaay past  bedtime and doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon.

Today was not that great.
But it was at the same time.

I usually hit the ground running when I wake up in the morning.
Today, I seemed to have been hog-tied behind a truck and dragged through the streets.
I didn't get dressed until 11:30.
 {And, no.
I did not shower today.
That is what dry shampoo is for.
Thank you very much.}
A little girl wouldn't eat any meals {except chicken at lunch}.
"Mama! Mama!" seemed to be on repeat all day long, combined with "Crackers?", "Milk?", "Poop!".

I couldn't even take a stupid ovulation test without getting interrupted
{which I have been taking for 2 weeks now with no uplifting news, only the realization that if we had gotten pregnant when we started trying for #2, we would have already been cuddling a new, squishy baby this month}.

It was a day filled with messes all over the house, finding both of our cars dug through while we were sleeping {of course the one day we forget to lock our car doors...but luckily nothing was missing. Not even my 47 cents of change in the cup holder}, and a ridiculously demanding little girl.

Now I sit here, exhausted, frustrated, and in a funk again.
But then my sweet husband sweeps up the ridiculously demanding little girl and takes her to her crib, stopping by the computer for a quick toddler-sloppy-yogurt-covered-kiss and "nigh nigh Mama!".
 He comes back out with a "Did I tell you I love you enough today? Because I really, REALLY do!", as he flashes that Murri smile.
The one that hooked me.

And that seals the deal.

It wasn't that bad of a day.

Somehow, with my two goofballs, rotten days always end on a high-note.

12 moments of christmas

12.06.2011

Tyrel and I never see each other.
We work opposite shifts
which is great
since we can spend time more time with Kemry...
but it means that we are pretty much single-parents most of the time.

This Christmas we decided we would join {quite a few in} the married world
and go on 12 dates for Christmas.

And then we laughed.
Seriously?
Dates?
What are those?

We decided to have 12 "moments" of Christmas
{most with baby, of course}.

Our first "moment" was making some frozen hot chocolate
{which I don't know what we were thinking...
pretty sure we are number 18 on this list}
and catching-up on all of the junk on our DVR.

Mine was superior to Tyrel's, however.
{thank you very much, dear candy cane}
